Canon PosterArtist free online software announcement
Canon U.S.A. announced the online version of PosterArtist, Canon’s poster creation software. Users of all skill levels can create high-definition professional flyers, posters, and banners and print to a wide variety of Canon inkjet and toner based printers. Features of this online version include an easy-to-navigate user interface, prepopulated templates and millions of stock images to choose from.
PosterArtist, the online version, can be accessed at no cost via a web browser on both Windows and MAC platforms (tablets and smartphones are not currently supported) and can print to Canon devices including the imagePROGRAF, imageRUNNER ADVANCE, imagePRESS, imageCLASS, PIXMA and MAXIFY Series, providing a new value to Canon customers. This online version incorporates a new user interface (UI) and user experience (UE) to help meet the printing demands of all skill levels. There are two main paths at the top of the page to start the poster-creation process. The user can either select a type of output (Flyer, Poster, Calendar, etc.) they want to create and start designing from scratch or choose from a variety of pre-designed templates, segmented into various themes, such as food and beverage, retail, sale, COVID health and safety, and many more. If the user needs creative assistance, PosterArtist offers an “Auto Design” feature. Simply select a category such as “Retail”, enter a title and images you want to use, and content will be automatically created and proposed for the user to choose from.

This version incorporates a new feature that allows users to replicate a textured look of Gold and Silver within their creations. This new imaging processing technology makes it possible to add strikingly bold Gold/Silver texture effects to text, backgrounds and shapes. More importantly, this unique feature combined with the Fluorescent Pink Ink, only available with the imagePROGRAF GP Series, creates bright, bold and enhanced output. In addition, users can choose from a wide selection of images from photo service providers Pexels, Pixabay and Unsplash with millions of photos to select from or have the option to import their own photos.
